"Evolution" of Fashion

Our intern, Denise Hernandez, served as publicity coordinator for Washington State University’s 29th Annual Mom’s Weekend Fashion Show! This event took place last Friday at Beasley Coliseum on the WSU Pullman campus. The theme this year was ‘Evolution,’ one both the design students and merchandising students couldn’t wait to promote and put on. 15 senior designer’s collections were showcased in addition to the promotional efforts of the production crew. We couldn’t be more proud of Denise and all of her hard work on this show!

Meet Our Intern!

We’re so excited to introduce our new and amazing intern, Denise Hernandez! She’s come on board with O&M and has been our beloved behind-the-scenes social media guru. If you’ve noticed our blog looking a little spiffy, it’s all thanks to her! She’s a soon to be Washington State University grad, and a lover of fashion pr! She hails from Shamani’s hometown of Mount Vernon, WA, a place known for its tulips and township charm. We’d like for you to get to know her a little better, so we’ve asked her to share a little bit about herself!

Meet our intern!

Denise's style inspiration
“I’ve always had a passion for the industry. You can find me flipping through endless look books or styling friends for every event you can think of! Clothes are a form of expression to me, they’re art. To envision and create garments is a gift, and I respect designer’s passion for what they do. My personal style is reminiscent of the 1960’s, the infamous bohemian era. Brigitte Bardot and Talitha Getty are just a few of my classic style icons. I tend to gravitate towards ethnic influences and western silhouettes; it’s for this reason I came to love O&M! Vintage inspired clothing paired with classic body styles, who could ask for more? I’m always looking to learn and grow in anyway. I follow my heart and strive to reach my greatest potential. I live by the saying, ‘Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind’-Dr. Seuss.”
